Ueno Cherry Blossom Festival

Ueno Park is one of the most popular spots for hanami in Tokyo. During the festival, 1000 lanterns illuminate the park at night. There are also other events.

Plum Festival at Makuyama Park

Garden of Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo

Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is a five star hotel in Bunkyo. It also has a large garden open to the public. I went there at the beginning of march in the evening, then again at the end of the month, during peak blossom in the morning.

Plum Festival at Mukojima-Hyakkaen Garden

Mukojima-Hyakkaen Garden in Sumida City is the only surviving flower garden from the Edo Period in Tokyo. There currently is a plum festival to celebrate the blossoms of the many plum trees in the garden.

Autumn dusk at Hama-Rikyu Garden

Hamarikyu Garden is a public park in Chuo, Tokyo. It is located at the mouth of the Sumida River and surrounded by a seawater moat filled by Tokyo Bay. It was remodeled as a public garden park on the site of a villa of the Shogun Tokugawa family from the 17th century.
