Walk along Lac du Bourget: From Aix-les-Bains to Le Bourget-du-Lac
During the summer of 2020, I walked along Lac du Bourget from the Grand Port of Aix-les-Bains to Le Bourget-du-Lac. I also visited Château de Thomas II on the way.
Hike to Arpettaz de Thuy
Last summer, I went on a hike to Arpettaz de Thuy, a rocky ridge below Tête de l’Arpettaz and above La Balme de Thuy near Thônes.
Hike to Mont Truc (Saint-Gervais-les-Bains)
Last fall, I went on a hike to Mont Truc, in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. In French, its name would translate to Mount Thingy, but in Franco-Provençal, a truc is actually a small hill. I had already passed through the area, when I went on a hike to Mont Vorassay.
Hike to Chalet de Cotagne
In the fall of 2022, I went on a hike to Chalet de Cotagne, above Thônes, on the mountain known as Montagne de Cotagne. There was a great view on the Thônes valley and the Aravis.

Last summer, I went on a hike in Chamonix and visited another series of lakes: Starting from the upper station of Télécabine de la Flégère, I walked through Lacs des Chéserys, Lac de la Remuaz, Lac de la Persévérance, Lac Blanc and Lac de la Flégère.
Hike across Plateau des Bornes: From Reignier-Ésery to Cruseilles
In autumn 2021, I went on a hike across Plateau des Bornes, an area of Haute-Savoie located between Salève (to the north) and the Bornes mountains (south). Starting from Reignier-Ésery, I walked to Pont de la Caille in Cruseilles.

In autumn 2021, I walked from Chambéry to Aix-les-Bains, passing through Le Malpassant.

Last summer, I went on hike in the Beaufortain mountains: I walked from Les Contamines-Montjoie to Beaufort-sur-Doron, passing above Lac de la Girotte.
Hike to Roc de Charmieux
At the beginning of the summer of 2021, I went on a hike to Roc de Charmieux, in Le Grand-Bornand. It is the westernmost summit of the Bargy range, a subchain of the Bornes mountains.
