Observatory of Tour Montparnasse
The Tour Montparnasse is a 210-meter office tower in Paris. It was the tallest building in France until 2011. Its roof is open to the public and provides a great view on the city.
Mont Rond / Col de la Faucille
Last winter, on Christmas day, I went to Col de la Faucille, in the French Jura near Geneva. There is a ski resort there but there was barely any snow. I took the ropeway to the summit of Mont Rond and walked around for a bit.

Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe (Arch of Triumph ) is one of the most famous landmarks of Paris. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. The top of the monument houses an open air observatory with a good view on Paris.
Walk in Paris #3
At the end of the summer, I had to be in Paris for one day. I walked around, first to Montmartre and the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur. Then I walked to the Centre George Pompidou before going to the Gare de Lyon railway station.
Hike to Mont Charvin
For my last hike of the summer, I went to Mont Charvin, a mountain in the Aravis range located near Faverges. I followed this itinerary.
