Pelouses de l'Hippodrome d'Auteuil
The Pelouses de l’Hippodrome d’Auteuil is a park located in west Paris near the Bois de Boulogne. It is built in the middle of the horse racecourse of Auteuil.
Ballon de Paris
The “Ballon de Paris” is a large helium-filled balloon located in the Parc André Citroën, near the Seine in southwest Paris. It has sensors for monitoring pollution but also takes passengers: The balloon goes up to 150m and stays there for a few minutes before going down. The view is quite nice even if it is not centrally located.
Issy-les-Moulineaux
Issy-les-Moulineaux is a suburb south-west of Paris, on the left bank of the Seine. Many large companies have their French headquarters there.
Montparnasse Cemetery
Montparnasse Cemetery is a cemetery in Paris. The French poet Charles Baudelaire and many other famous people are buried there.

Observatory of Tour Montparnasse
The Tour Montparnasse is a 210-meter office tower in Paris. It was the tallest building in France until 2011. Its roof is open to the public and provides a great view on the city.
Mont Rond / Col de la Faucille
Last winter, on Christmas day, I went to Col de la Faucille, in the French Jura near Geneva. There is a ski resort there but there was barely any snow. I took the ropeway to the summit of Mont Rond and walked around for a bit.
