Hike to Barrage de Chavaroche & Centrale Hydroélectrique de Brassilly
At the end of 2019, I went on walk in Poisy, near Annecy: From the center of Poisy, I went down towards the Fier river and Barrage de Chavaroche then walked along the Fier until Centrale Hydroélectrique de Brassilly.
Here is a map of the path I walked (download KML):
I took a SIBRA bus to Poisy. Then I walked down towards the Fier river using trails in the forest. I passed a level crossing then the canal that directs water towards Centrale Électrique de Chavaroche. I followed the canal until the dam (Barrage de Chavaroche), then walked along the Fier river until Centrale Hydroélectrique de Brassilly. From there, I walked up using a trail in the forest in order to reach the hamlet of Brassilly. I kept walking in the area until sunset, in a place called Les Grands Champs. Finally, I walked to Meythet and kept going towards Cran-Gevrier until Pont de Tasset where I waited for the bus.
