Hike to Mont Baron & Mont Veyrier: From Col de Bluffy to Annecy-le-Vieux

In the fall of last year, I went on a hike to Mont Baron and Mont Veyrier, this time starting from Col de Bluffy and arriving in Annecy.

In the morning, I took a LIHSA bus (line 62) to Col de Bluffy and started walking on the trail to Mont Baret. But instead of going to the summit, I took a trail going around it on the north side. I arrived at Col des Contrebandiers then went up to the platform of the former cable car of Mont Baron. I saw a few chamois along the way. At the platform, there was a great view on Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains. I walked the ridge trail though the summits of Mont Baron and Mont Veyrier until Col des Sauts. Even though I had been to Mont Veyrier and Mont Baron many times, it was just my first time walking the trail in that direction. After Col des Sauts, I went down to Col du Pré Vernet. I made a detour to the viewpoint and watched the sunset. I then walked down the mountain to Annecy-le-Vieux and Lake Annecy. It got dark on the way but I had my flashlight with me. Finally, I walked home from there.
