Hike to Tête du Danay & Lac des Confins (La Clusaz)
In spring, I went on a hike to La Clusaz: I climbed up Tête du Danay, a mountain located between La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand, then reached Lac des Confins.

Earlier this year, I went on a hike to Salève, a mountain in the Jura that overlooks the south-west side of Geneva but is actually located in Haute-Savoie. There are many trails to reach the plateau at the top of Salève and walk on once up there. For myself, I decided to cross the mountain along its length, starting from Col du Mont Sion and finishing at Etrembières.
At the beginning of spring, I went on a walk around Annecy, trying to stay on parks and green spaces. Not a complete success but close enough…
The Jardin des Remparts is a small and well hidden park located in the Old Town of Annecy, not far from the castle. It is dedicated to Father Jean-Marie Delavay, a priest from Haute-Savoie who served as a christian missionary in Yunnan, China during the 19th century. He introduced many new plant species to Europe.
Last spring, I went on a hike to Mont Veyrier and Mont Baron, two mountains on the north-east of Lake Annecy.
As the first hike of spring 2018, I went back to the Roc de Chère on the eastern shore of Lake Annecy. I also visited the Baie de Talloires while I was in the area.
Last winter, I went on a walk in Seynod, a neighbourhood of Annecy. Coming from the old town of Annecy, I visited Parc du Val Vert and Parc du Pré de Vassy, then went back.
Last winter, I took my bike on the Voie Verte (bike road) along Lake Annecy until I reached Saint-Jorioz. There was a great view on the Bornes mountains from there. On the way back, I stoped at the Marais de l’Enfer (Swamp of Hell), a nature reserve on the shore of the lake.
The Eglise Saint-Maurice is a catholic church located in the old town of Annecy. It was built in the 15th century, making it the oldest church in the city.
Novel is a neighbourhood of Annecy built during the 1960’s and 1970’s on land previously occupied by farmland. It has many of the tallest buildings in the city, some designed by architect Maurice Novarina, as well as a church, the Castle of Novel and parks.
