Weekend in the South: Avignon / Marseille
Last weekend, I went on a trip to the south of France: Avignon, known as the “City of Popes”, on Saturday and Marseille, France’s 2nd largest city, on Sunday.

Yesterday, I went for a walk in Paris and took many pictures. Above, the entrance to the Jardin des Tuileries.
I have been spending some time in Annecy since my return from Canada. Above, the prison in the Old Town of Annecy.
Yesterday, I went on a bicycle ride around Chambéry, the former capital of the Duchy of Savoy.
A couple of weeks ago, I took my bike on the Green Road ("Voie verte") from Annecy to Albertville. On the way back, I took a more scenic path through Col de Tamié.
Yesterday, I went on a day trip to Grenoble, where I actually used to live (in order to attend university).
Today is my last day in Canada: I am taking a plane back to Geneva (via Frankfurt) in the next hour. I definitely had a great time here!
