Hike to Roc des Arces
In autumn 2021, I went on a hike to Roc des Arces, below Mont Lachat de Châtillon in Le Grand-Bornand.
Here is a map of the path I walked:

In the morning, I took a Car Région bus (line Y62) to Le Grand-Bornand, its terminus. Roc des Arces could be seen from the bus station. I started walking up. During summer, an easier path would have been to board the Télécabine du Rosay and walk down to the start of the Roc des Arces trail proper. After a while, I arrived below Roc des Arces. I walked the marked trail to Croix des Arces, a cross on the ridge. There was a great view from there. I kept going along a smaller trail in order to reach the summit of Roc des Arces. After that, I found a steep trail below the summit to reach Col de Châtillon. I walked down to the upper station of Télécabine du Rosay then, instead of taking the same path as on the way up, I headed towards Le Chinaillon then finally went down to the village of Le Grand-Bornand. I made a detour on the way to Cascade Mystérieuse, where I had already been a few years ago.
