Hike from Rumilly to Lovagny through Hauteville-sur-Fier
In winter 2020, I went on a hike in Pays de l’Albanais: I walked from Rumilly to Lovagny through Hauteville-sur-Fier.
Here is a map of the path I walked (download KML, download large map):
In the morning, I took a train from Annecy to Rumilly. I headed to Pont Neuf, a bridge on the Chéran river. On the other side, I took a path across fields and villages to reach Hauteville-sur-Fier. I crossed the Fier river there then followed its course loosely until I reached Gorges du Fier. I then walked up to the center of Lovagny in order to catch a bus back to Annecy.

Above, there the path went back up. Instead, I continued. Even though there was a track, I am not sure if it was a private property. In any case, I didn’t meet anyone.
