Hike to Nâves-Parmelan, Villaz & Argonay

In winter 2020, starting in Annecy-le-Vieux, I went on a hike on the other side of the Fier river to Nâves-Parmelan, Villaz and Argonay.

In the morning, I started walking up from my place in Annecy-le-Vieux towards Sur les Bois, passing by the university along the way. I then walked on the side of the road to Nâves-Parmelan and crossed the Fier river at Pont de Nâves. Once in Nâves, I took a small trail to get to the village. I visited the local church, Église Saint-Eugend, then continued towards Villaz, using dirt roads in the middle of pastures. At Villaz, I visited the church, Église de la Nativité-de-la-Vierge, then went down towards the Fillière river, which I crossed at Pont de Villaz. Once in Argonay on the other side, I followed a trail along the Fillière, reached its confluence with the Fier river and kept following the trail along the Fier after that. I crossed a bridge on the Fier to get back to Annecy-le-Vieux then walked on the side of a road to get back to the center of Annecy-le-Vieux and complete the loop.
