Hike to Col du Brévent, Planpraz & La Flégère
Near the end of summer, I went back to Chamonix: Starting from the summit of Le Brévent, I went down to Col du Brévent and Planpraz then walked to La Flégère.
Here is a map of the path I walked (download KML):
In the morning, I took a train from Annecy to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet then switched for a bus to Chamonix (since the train tracks were closed for maintenance at the time). Once in Chamonix, I boarded the cable car to Le Brévent, through Planpraz. I spent some time at the summit of Le Brévent for the view. Then I started walking down to Col du Brévent and Planpraz. From Planpraz, I took the GⓇ Tour du Mont Blanc trail to La Flégère. The cable car there was closed so I walked down to the valley, towards La Joux below. I then walked along the Arve river until Les Tines, and waited for the bus to Saint-Gervais.
