Hike to the Belledonne-Chamrousse Lake Trail: Lacs Robert, Lac Léama, Lac Longet, Lac Claret, Lac David & Lac des Pourettes
Last summer, I went on a hike in the Belledonne mountains, near Grenoble: I walked the Belledonne-Chamrousse Lake Trail, a loop that passes by a few lakes above Chamrousse, on the way to Refuge de la Pra.
Here is a map of the path I walked (download KML):
In the morning, I took a train from Annecy to Grenoble Universités - Gières. I then waited for the regular Transisère bus to Chamrousse (6010 line). I got off at the Chamrousse 1650 bus stop and waited some more time for the Télécabine de la Croix to open. It got me to Croix de Chamrousse. I started walking from there. I passed by the Lacs Robert, Lac Léama, Lac Longet and Lac Claret on the way to Refuge de la Pra. I had lunch then started on the way back, through Lac David. Once I got back to the Lacs Robert, since the Téléphérique de la Croix was already closed, I took the Brèche Robert Nord to get down to the Chamrousse resort. I had to rush a bit in order to be on time to catch the last bus back to the train station.
