Hike to Circuit de l'Ancienne Mine & Oratoire
The Circuit de l’Ancienne Mine (Old Mine Loop) is a hiking trail in the village of Lathuile, near Lake Annecy.
Here is a map of the path I walked (download KML):
Starting in Lathuile, the trail first goes south to an old coal mine that closed in the mid-20th century. Then, after passing through the village of Entrevernes, it leads to L’Oratoire (The Oratory), which offers a great view on the south of Lake Annecy and on the valley towards Faverges. The path then goes back to the start of the trail in Lathuile. I went to Lathuile by bike, but it is also possible to take a LIHSA bus (line 51).
