Hike to Roc de Viuz
Last fall, I went on a hike to Roc de Viuz, above Faverges.

In the morning, I took a LIHSA bus from Annecy to Saint-Ferréol, near Faverges. I then walked upwards using the paved road. At Lautharet, I took a dirt road then a trail in order to reach Plan Solliet above Roc de Viuz. I went down to the cross and viewpoint. There was a great view from there on Faverges, the Bauges mountains and the Mont Blanc. I walked back up and headed to Chalets du Solliet. There was also a great view from there, especially on the Aravis mountains. After that, in order to get down to the valley, I took a trail through Combe de Balmette on the other side of Roc de Viuz. However, that part was quite steep and the mud made it very slippery. Finally, I arrived in Faverges and headed to the LIHSA bus stop at Pont d’Englannaz.
