Le Plateau-Mont Royal

Le Plateau-Mont Royal is a neighbourhood of Montreal located north-east of Mount Royal. It is a mostly residential area, with many parks, trendy shops and restaurants. It is also well known for its large number of murals.

Walk along Canal Saint-Denis: From La Villette to Stade de France

Starting at la Villette in Paris, the Canal Saint-Denis connects the Canal de l’Ourcq to the Seine, crossing the towns of Aubervilliers and Saint-Denis on the way.

NDSM Wharf

NDSM Werf is an area in Amsterdam Noord that used to be a derelict shipyard but has been converted into a space for underground culture and events. It is on the other side of the IJ river from the center of Amsterdam but there are frequent (and free) ferries to go there.

Walk in Paris #3

Centre Pompidou @ Beaubourg @ Paris

At the end of the summer, I had to be in Paris for one day. I walked around, first to Montmartre and the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur. Then I walked to the Centre George Pompidou before going to the Gare de Lyon railway station.

During the summer, I went to Paris for 1 day. I just walked around, starting at Gare de Lyon. The city was as grimy as ever, although the sun showed up in the afternoon.
