Walk from Annecy-le-Vieux to Veyrier-du-Lac & Menthon-Saint-Bernard
During winter 2020, I walked from Annecy-le-Vieux to Veyrier-du-Lac and Menthon-Saint-Bernard on the east side of Lake Annecy.

Hike along the Viéran river
At the beginning of 2020, I went on a hike along the Viéran river, north of Annecy. I had already followed part of it when I walked from Pont de la Caille to Argonay & Annecy: This time I followed the course of the river all the way until its confluence with the Fier river.
Winter hike on Plateau des Glières
Last winter, I went on a walk at the cross-country ski resort on Plateau des Glières, in the Bornes mountains.
Hike to Rocher de Montmélian, Chemin des Vignes, Tours de Chignin & Mont Ronjou
At the beginning of 2020, I went on a hike below the southern tip of the Bauges mountains: Starting in Montmélian, I went up to Rocher de Montélian and visited the Christ d’Arbin nearby then walked on Chemin des Vignes (Vineyard Trail) until Chignin, visited the ruins of the medieval fortifications there and went up to Mont Ronjou at the end of the day.
Hike to Aire de Décollage de Planfait & Ermitage de Saint-Germain
At the beginning of 2020, starting from Col de Bluffy, I walked to Aire de Décollage de Planfait, a take-off area for paragliders above Rochers des Moillats, then went down towards Talloires.
Hike to Montagne de la Mandallaz (Winter 2020)
On the first day of 2020, I went on a hike to Montagne de la Mandallaz near Annecy: This time, instead of the Tête where I had already been a few times, I went up to the actual (and somewhat unremarkable) summit of the mountain.
Hike to Barrage de Génissiat & Berges du Rhône
As my last outing of 2019, I went on a hike to Barrage de Génissiat, a large dam on the Rhône, then followed the river north to Bellegarde-sur-Valserine.
Hike to Barrage de Chavaroche & Centrale Hydroélectrique de Brassilly
At the end of 2019, I went on walk in Poisy, near Annecy: From the center of Poisy, I went down towards the Fier river and Barrage de Chavaroche then walked along the Fier until Centrale Hydroélectrique de Brassilly.
Snowshoe hike on Plateau du Semnoz
Last winter, I tried snowshoeing and visited a few of the nordic skiing resorts around Annecy. Most of them have prepared tracks (with packed snow) for walking and snowshoes. The first resort I visited was the one closest to Annecy, at Station du Semnoz.
Hike to Pont des Pierres & Gorges de la Valserine
In the fall of 2019, I went on a hike near Bellegarde-sur-Valserine: I walked the Voie du Tram until Pont des Pierres and took a trail along the Valserine river on the way back.
