Hike to Mont Cornillon: From Ugine to Albertville
Last fall, starting in Ugine, I went on a hike to Mont Cornillon, a smaller mountain in the Beaufortain, then went down towards Albertville.

I met this fox today, while walking on a trail in the forest below Mont Veyrier. It didn’t seem too afraid.

A few months ago, I went on a short hike to Vallon de Sainte-Catherine, a small hill on the west flank of Semnoz, and walked a loop in Seynod after that.
Parc du Bois Vidal is a large park in Aix-les-Bains. It has multiple forest paths, lawns and a viewpoint (belvédère) with a good view on Lac du Bourget and the surrounding mountains.
A few weeks after the Circuit Central, I came back for a hike at the foot of the Semnoz. This time I went to Crêt du Maure, passing by a few viewpoints along the way, with a good view on Lake Annecy and the Bornes mountains to the east.
Starting from La Tambourne, next to the Basilique de la Visitation in Annecy, I walked the Circuit Central du Semnoz, passing by a few viewpoints (belvédère) along the way.
The Pont du Diable (Devil’s Bridge) is small stone bridge in Bellecombe-en-Bauges, not very far from the Pont de l’Abîme. The deep and narrow gorge formed by the Nant de Bellecombe below is a popular place for the practice of canyoning.
