Hike to Circuit Central du Semnoz
Starting from La Tambourne, next to the Basilique de la Visitation in Annecy, I walked the Circuit Central du Semnoz, passing by a few viewpoints (belvédère) along the way.

Basilique de la Visitation
The Basilique de la Visitation is a catholic church in Annecy built in the first half of the 20th century on a hill at the foot of the Semnoz, a prominent location that makes it visible from the whole city. The church houses the tombs of Saint François de Sales and Sainte Jeanne de Chantal.

The Eglise Sainte-Bernadette is a catholic church in Annecy, located near the Impérial Palace hotel. It was designed in the brutalist style by Maurice Novarina and Claude Fay in the 1960’s.

I went on a walk up the hill to the old center of Annecy-le-Vieux, then went down to the lake, passing through a few parks along the way.
Hike to Montagne de Lachat (Dingy-Saint-Clair)
Last autumn, I went on a hike to Montagne de Lachat, in Dingy-Saint-Clair. It is located beneath the cliffs of Parmelan and the summit offers a great view on the mountain.
Walk from Pont de la Caille to Annecy
After crossing the Pont de la Caille, I went back to Annecy on foot, following trails I found on OpenStreetMap.
Pont de la Caille
The Pont de la Caille (aka Pont Charles-Albert) is a suspension bridge linking the villages of Allonzier-la-Caille and Cruseilles in Haute-Savoie, on the path between Annecy and Geneva. It was built in 1839 to cross the gorge formed by the Usses river, 147m below. A second bridge, the Pont Neuf (aka Pont Caquot) was added in 1928 to support train and car traffic.

The Cathédrale Saint-Pierre d’Annecy is a catholic church located in the old town of Annecy. It was built in the 16th century.
Hike to Montagne d'Âge
After Vallon du Fier, I continued walking and, after a detour through a trail along Nant de Calvi, I reached Poisy, a village northwest of Annecy. My goal was to cross the Montagne d’Âge, a small mountain that is part of the Jura mountains, from the north to the south on the way to Château de Montrottier and Gorges du Fier in Lovagny.
