At the beginning of summer 2020, I went on a hike to Signal de Bernex: At 510 m, it is the higest “peak” inside the canton of Geneva (but not its highest point: At 517 m, Les Arales in the east of Geneva is higher but the area looks mostly flat). I then crossed the Rhône and walked a trail along Nant d’Avril on the way to the CERN in Meyrin.
Last summer, starting from Le Bouchet-Mont-Charvin, I went on a hike to Montagne de Sulens.
During winter 2020, I went on a hike from Rumilly to Seynod, passing by the village of Saint-Sylvestre and Cascade du Voile de la Mariée (a waterfall in Chapeiry).
Last fall, I went on hike above Magland: I walked up to Les Carroz through Gorges de la Colonnaz, visited Mont Favy, then looped back through Arâches.
In early spring 2021, I went on a hike across Bluffy and Alex passing by the waterfalls in the area: Cascade de Montviard and Cascade du Nant d’Alex.
At the end of the summer of 2021, I went on a hike to Grotte de Bange, a deep cave on the south side of Semnoz.
In autumn 2021, I went on a hike to Roc des Arces, below Mont Lachat de Châtillon in Le Grand-Bornand.
At the end of the summer of 2021, I went on a hike in Chamonix: I walked by Aiguillette d’Argentière on the way to Lac Blanc and Lac de la Persévérance. I had already been to Lac Blanc many years ago, but I hadn’t known about Lac de la Persévérance then: It is a bit higher and less crowded.
In the spring of 2020, I went on a hike along the Rhône near Fort l’Écluse: I walked between Pont de Grésin and Pont Carnot on both sides of the river in Ain and Haute-Savoie.
