Hike to Barrage de Génissiat & Berges du Rhône
As my last outing of 2019, I went on a hike to Barrage de Génissiat, a large dam on the Rhône, then followed the river north to Bellegarde-sur-Valserine.

At the end of 2019, I went on walk in Poisy, near Annecy: From the center of Poisy, I went down towards the Fier river and Barrage de Chavaroche then walked along the Fier until Centrale Hydroélectrique de Brassilly.
Last winter, I tried snowshoeing and visited a few of the nordic skiing resorts around Annecy. Most of them have prepared tracks (with packed snow) for walking and snowshoes. The first resort I visited was the one closest to Annecy, at Station du Semnoz.
In the fall of 2019, I went on a hike near Bellegarde-sur-Valserine: I walked the Voie du Tram until Pont des Pierres and took a trail along the Valserine river on the way back.
In the fall of last year, I went on a hike to Mont Baron and Mont Veyrier, this time starting from Col de Bluffy and arriving in Annecy.
In the fall of last year, I went on a hike in the Bauges mountains above Chambéry: I passed through Trou de l’Enfer, Canyon de Ternèze and Motte Castrale du Grand Joueret on the way to Chapelle Saint-Michel.
In the fall of last year, I went on a hike from Faverges to Albertville through Col de Tamié.
In the fall of last year, I went on a hike along the Fier river in Thônes: I walked upstream from Pont de Morette to Pont Romain des Clefs.
