Sichuan beef shreds at Tian Tian Wang in Paris
Dry-fried Sichuan beef shreds (干煸牛肉丝), with additional bowl of rice. It was really good!
Sichuan boiled beef / Mapo tofu at Asia Room in Paris
Sichuan boiled beef (水煮牛肉 – “shuizhu niurou” in Chinese; “marmite de boeuf piquant” in French).
This is a classic dish from the province of Sichuan in southwestern China. It was very spicy and really good. It was only my first time eating this dish and, after Asia Room, I had it at many other restaurants in Paris.
Spicy Noodle Soup at Mian Guan in Paris
Spicy noodle soup with minced pork.
It is possible to choose the type of noodles: I got the knife-cut noodles (刀削面; Dao Xiao Mian). Pretty good.
Café Félin "Ma Langue aux Chats"
At the end of my day trip to Québec City, while I was waiting for my bus back to Montreal, I stayed at Café Félin Ma Langue Aux Chats, a cat café close to both Old Québec and the bus station. The concept is similar to what can be found in Japan (and increasingly in other countries): It is a classic café, but with cats walking about. They were a bit sleepy when I visited but it was nice and relaxing after a day of walking.
