Hike to Mamelon Vert
Last summer, I went on a hike to Mamelon Vert, next to La Tournette in Montmin.
Here is a map of the path I walked:

In the morning, I took a Car Région bus (line Y51) to Talloires. Then, I boarded a summer bus (SIBRA Ligne Montagne F1) to the village of Montmin. I started walking from there on the version of the path to La Tournette that passes through Pointe des Frêtes du Lars. However, once I reached the area known as Charvet, I headed off-trail towards the beginning of a path called “Le Sangle du Mamelon Vert”: It is a narrow trail that goes around Mamelon Vert on a ledge on the west side and arrives at Refuge de la Tournette. Once near the Refuge, I started on the trail proper to Mamelon Vert. I reached the cross and the summit after a while. There was a great view from there. On the way down, I closed the loop: I passed by Refuge de la Tournette then walked the standard trail to Chalet de l’Aulp. From Col de l’Aulp, I went down to Les Prés Ronds then took the forest trail along Nant de Montmin. I left it at at Le Bois and walked on the road in order to reach the center of the village of Montmin, where I waited for the bus back to Talloires.
