Hike to Roc de Nantbellet
Last winter, I went on a hike to Roc de Nantbellet, a mountain above Saint-Ferréol near Faverges.

In the morning, I took a LIHSA bus (line 51) to Saint-Ferréol. I first walked to the hamlet of Nantbellet above town using the paved road. At Nantbellet, I took the short trail to the summit of Roc de Nantbellet. There was a great view from there. Instead of going down directly, I then went on a loop through Côte de Marlens and the ruins of Guillon. After I joined the road I had taken earlier, I followed it down to Saint-Ferréol and the Chaise river. Since there was still time until the bus back, I walked a trail along the Chaise in order to reach Sentier Botanique de Saint-Ferréol (Botanical Trail), although, since it was winter, there was not much to see except bare trees. Finally, I went back to the bus stop and waited for the bus to Annecy.
