Winter hike on Plateau des Glières
Last winter, I went on a walk at the cross-country ski resort on Plateau des Glières, in the Bornes mountains.
Here is a map of the path I walked (download KML):
A few weeks after Station du Semnoz, I visited another cross-country ski resort near Annecy: Domaine Nordique des Glières. I went there in the morning using the SIBRA winter shuttle. At Plateau des Glières, I walked on the prepared tracks for pedestrians and snowshoes. I had brought my snowshoes with me but I ended up not using them since the packed snow was very walkable. I thought I could also explore in the forest but, in the end, there was no time.
