Hike from Poisy to Cran-Gevrier: Gorges du Fier, Parc Altaïs, Parcours Nature Fier et Erbe, Cercle de l'Eau
Last fall, I walked from Poisy to Cran-Gevrier near Annecy, passing through Gorges du Fier, Parc Altaïs, Parcours Nature Fier et Erbe and Cercle de l’Eau.

In the morning, I took a SIBRA bus to Poisy. I visited the local church (Église Saint-Martin) then started on the path. I first walked down towards Château de Montrottier in Lovagny then continued to the Fier. I crossed the river at Pont de Pontverre then walked past the entrance of Gorges du Fier. I kept along the river until Pont des Liasses then took a trail in the forest that went up to Maclamod. From there, I took a dirt road that led to Parc Altaïs, a large industrial park in Chavanod. I ate lunch at the Roselière du Parc Altaïs, a wetland for reed conservation. After that, I headed to Parcours Nature Fier et Erbe, a trail in the forest along the rivers Erbe and Fier, where I had already been a few times. At the exit in Cran-Gevrier, I headed to the Éco Quartier Les Passerelles and the Cercle de l’Eau. I took the bus back from there.
