Hike to Cascade du Nant Trouble, Gorge des Usses & Pont de la Caille
Last fall, starting from Andilly not far from Col du Mont Sion, I walked through Cascade du Nant Trouble, Gorge des Usses (visiting the Bains de la Caille there) and Pont de la Caille.
Here is a map of the path I walked (download KML):
In the morning, I took a LIHSA bus (line T72) towards Geneva and got off at the Andilly - Jussy bus stop. I then went down towards Cascade du Nant Trouble. The waterfall was fairly small but the walk in the forest was pleasant (even though pretty muddy). I then mostly kept on the road, going down towards the Usses river which I reached near Chosal. I followed it upstream and entered the canyon known as Gorge des Usses. The path is technically forbidden because of the small risk of rockfall but I kept going until the end of the trail below Ponts de la Caille. On the way back, I spent some time exploring the ruins of Bains de la Caille. Finally, I crossed the Usses and took an old road up to Ponts de la Caille. I crossed it then waited for the T72 bus back to Annecy.
